Policies & Regulations
- All students must complete enrolment formalities during registration week before attending class.
- Late registration incurs a penalty of FJD $150. No student may register after Friday of Week 2.
- Changes to registration are permitted only in the first 2 weeks of semester.
- Programme withdrawal without financial penalty is permitted only within the first 2 weeks.
- Full-time load: 60 credit points (4 modules) per semester.
- Part-time: fewer than 45 credit points (3 modules) per semester.
- Overload is permitted only for students with a GPA of 2.50+ in the preceding semester.
- A standard Bachelor's degree takes 3 years to complete (Bachelor of Theology: 4 years).
A minimum of 80% attendance is required per module (90% for students on academic probation). Students missing more than 20% of a module may be required to withdraw. Absences may only be considered up to a maximum of 33% in exceptional circumstances with supporting documentation (e.g., medical certificate).
- All assignments must be submitted through Turnitin.
- Late submission: up to one week late — grade reduced by 10%; beyond one week — zero awarded.
- No major assignment or test may be scheduled within the week prior to final examinations.
- Lecturers must return assignment results and feedback within 2 weeks of submission.
Plagiarism is the use of someone else's ideas or words as if they were one's own. All assignments are submitted through Turnitin. Penalties range from a formal warning and required resubmission through to expulsion from the institution.
if cumulative Turnitin result is below 15%, provided individual sources are each below 3%.
- Complete all required credits at the appropriate levels for the programme of study.
- Meet all financial obligations to the University.
- Meet Work Education requirements as set by the Dean of Student Life Services.
- Demonstrate good character as assessed by the University.
- Complete the programme within the maximum time limit.
Students wishing to appeal against a grade must complete the Academic Appeals form within 14 days of the official publication of results. Appeals on academic decisions are first heard at the Academic Committee. The Administrative Committee's decision is final.
